Pride 2017 Update!

Pride 2017 is coming up in 4 weeks – Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Gough Park! The schedule is set, and will include the Doggie Drag Show, more fun with drag queens, community and craft booths, a performance by the wonderful singer Summer Osborne and a Saturday night dance with the Illusion Band! The mayor and other community leaders will also grace our stage in between the acts!

We are still accepting event sponsors and vendors for the fair, so please spread the word! Nonprofit vendors pay $15 for a booth space, for-profits pay $30 and food vendors pay $50 (includes utilities). Write to us at silvercitypride@gmail.com for information or a vendor application.

We still need to raise funds to pay for entertainers and equipment rentals! Help us have a great PRIDE festival on September 16th 2017 in Silver City by helping us find vendors, canopies and by donating. You can donate to us at the office on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm, or via the #RuralPride Campaign via GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/help-us-have-pride-in-silver-city!

4th of July Activities!

Thanks to our great float committee, LGBTQ Grant County will have a Stonewall Rebellion Heroes float in the Silver City 4th of July parade! The float committee is making progress, but still needs help with the work, lawn chairs, and people to walk or bike beside the float. Come to the next float meeting at 1pm on Sunday, 6/25 at the office (211B North Texas St)to find out more!!!

We are also going to have a double booth at Gough Park, with several carnival games (fish bowl toss, bowling, basketball toss and more). We will need booth volunteers for July 4 (9am-4pm) and with assembling the booth on the day before the parade (July 3rd at 5pm at Gough Park). Please bring your kids / grandkids to enjoy our games!
