The newly revised Rainbow Pages will be published and available for distribution this month! This updated directory of LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly businesses and services in Southwest New Mexico has been in-process for many months, and ultimately will have twice as many area businesses represented as in the last issue.
We wish to thank the many good volunteers who have worked on it, including Harold Gregory, Ted Tufares, Kimber Etheredge and others, plus the incredible talent of our copy editor Adrienne Booth.
LGBTQ Grant County is asking our supporters to consider making donations to us as one of your nonprofit contributions. We need your help to pay our bills and to keep providing educational materials, workshops, dances, public information booths and Pride Festivals!
You can mail contributions via a check to: LGBTQ Grant County, P.O. Box 2480, Silver City, NM 88062. Or, you can come by our office during office hours, on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm (The office is located at 211B North Texas Street, next to Lois Duffy’s studio).
We are not against receiving online donations, but we have had severe difficulties getting PayPal to function despite much time and volunteer energy.
Please support us and help us keep doing this good work!
Thanks to contributors, crafters and our crew of dedicated decorators (try saying that 3 times!), the LGBTQ Grant County Christmas Agave Stalk became a thing of beauty in our community’s Festival of the Trees! The Festival of the Trees was open Dec 8 – Dec 10 and 14-17 at the old Curious Kumquat restaurant in downtown Silver City. Our tree was sold for $275 – one of the higher contributions to benefit the Guadalupe Montessori School.
